About You

As AtData’s VP of Marketing, you will be an integral part of the executive leadership team responsible for creating and leading the marketing strategy of the leading provider of email data solutions. You’re entrepreneurial, driven, detail oriented, and proactively get things done. You have a logical mind, a business brain, and an eye for good design. You enjoy building a marketing strategy from the ground up and have done it before.

You will own all marketing efforts including driving all brand identity, demand generation, content creation and partner and product marketing for the company. The hired executive will build a dedicated team of professionals responsible for promoting a multiproduct portfolio and for collaborating effectively across functions, most notably sales and product. Functional disciplines will require both strategic and tactical necessities including: go to market strategy, short/mid/long term planning, in-depth market analysis, corporate communications and branding, sales enablement and lead gen, events, budgetary management, and other areas as appropriate.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own positioning, marketing, content creation, and demand gen functions
  • Serve as the primary brand architect and strategist, increasing brand awareness for AtData
  • Galvanize employees, clients, and prospects around AtData solutions and technology
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and strategies to stand above the competition and increase market share
  • Oversee all inbound/outbound marketing activities including internal and external marketing communications, branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, impactful events, webinars, collateral materials, website design and content
  • Optimize the overall use of marketing automation, lead gen tools and other marketing/sales software.
  • Provide visionary thought leadership within the company and externally in the market
  • Create and manage a results-oriented marketing budget
  • Set lead goals and stage/conversion rates in the demand waterfall, measure and optimize results
  • Collaborating with sales, develop effective strategies and tactics to win new clients, promote those clients, and up/cross-sell existing clients on new products and services
  • Augment, manage, and own the marketing technology stack
  • Hire, manage, mentor, develop, and inspire the marketing team


  • Minimum of 10 years in marketing, with 4+ years in managerial/leadership roles
  • Domain expertise in data, email marketing, adtech, and/or marketing tech
  • Demonstrated experience with developing go-to-market strategies and program execution
  • Deep experience in market development and b2b product marketing
  • Exceptional communicator, writer, editor, and presenter
  • Adept at translating complex technical solutions into simple and resonating language and ideas
  • Highly analytical with proven ability to measure marketing effectiveness and employ data-drive decision making with a constant eye on results
  • Clear history of creating innovative marketing concepts that drive awareness and revenues
  • BA/BS required, MBA a plus
